Programme Officer- Programme on Children and Governance

 HAQ: Centre for Child Rights, a Delhi based NGO, requires Post Graduates, preferably in economics or any of the social sciences, with writing skills, an understanding of development related issues. The job would also require travelling frequently within and outside Delhi. 

Experience: Proven work experience of minimum of three years in a similar profile in any organisation.
 
Brief job description would include
 
  • Working in consultation and co-ordination with the Programme Director and the Programme Co-ordinator
  • Undertaking child budget analysis and other research on children issues. This entails- data collection from primary as well as secondary sources, data collation and compilation and analysis
  • Assisting and monitoring the activities of state partners in co-ordination with the Programme Co-ordinator
  • Working in collaboration with state partners in research projects 
  • Conducting meetings and workshops with the resource team and the state partners 
  • Establishing and maintaining a liaison with various stakeholders (government officials, Parliamentarians, Legislators, media and other civil society organisation)
  • Advocating at the local, state and national level based on the findings of research and various policy analysis. 
  • Preparing periodic project reports and necessary documents other than the research reports
  • Involving self in other programme activities of the organisation as and when required 
 
A minimum of two year commitment is required.
